I will present the recent advancements we have achieved in MIP technology, including improvements in spectral coverage, imaging speed, and integration with other imaging modalities. Additionally, I will discuss how the MIP platform has played a pivotal role in addressing a diverse array of biomedical questions, ranging from microbiology to stem cell and neurodegeneration.

The Wyant College Industrial Affiliates Showcase and Meeting took place Oct. 23 - 25 in Tucson, AZ. The event kicked off with a packed poster session and corporate showcase in the Student Union. The second day was filled with student and faculty presentations that outlined current Wyant College research. On the final day student interviews took place as well as lab tours and a pizza party. 

With the new Grand Challenges Research Building (photos and updates) on target for occupancy in February of 2024, the Wyant College of Optical Sciences has pulled out all the stops on our faculty hiring plan, enabled by the highly successful Endowed Chair Campaign established by Founding Dean and Professor Emeritus Jim Wyant and completed last year, to support 14 additional faculty positions in the college. In this talk we will discuss two such error sources and ways to reduce them: (1) collisions with background gas molecules and (2) optical crosstalk between control beams.
