Notice. Care. Help.

If you're unsure of how to handle a student situation, call CAPS to consult at 520-621-3334.

If someone you know is in an immediate suicidal crisis or life-threatening emergency, call 911 or bring them to your local emergency room. If you're not sure if this is a crisis or you need to talk to someone right away, call CAPS 24/7 at 520-621-3334.

Notice. Care. Help. is our framework for supporting mental health as a community. Here's what it means:

  • Notice: Notice changes in how your student's doing. Dramatic changes or uncharacteristic behaviors can be an indicator that someone's struggling.
  • Care: Check in with a caring conversation. Share any concerns with compassion and without judgment.
  • Help: Encourage your student to take a next step. Recommending resources is a great way to do this.
