Image Engineering Design Day 2023 Success May 3, 2023 On Monday, May 1st, Wyant College of Optical Sciences and College of Engineering teams showcased their interdisciplinary final projects in a packed Student Union Memorial Center Ballroom, as well as beneath a large tent on the Mall. Read more Image John McCauley Awarded DoD National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship April 17, 2023 Congratulations to Wyant College Ph.D. student, John McCauley, who was awarded the Department of Defense National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship (DoD NDSEG). John, a 2nd year Ph.D. student, is advised by Dr. Jason Jones, and the fellowship will support John as he pursues his graduate studies over the next three years. Moving forward, John will continue on his research involving ultraviolet dual-comb spectroscopy year-round with Dr. Jones. The five-year fellowship provides three years of financial support inclusive of an annual stipend of $37,000. Ph.D. students Noelle Daigle, advised by Dr. Travis Sawyer as part of the BOOM lab, and Nico Deshler, advised by Dr. Amit Ashok were among those selected for this year's awards.
