“For three decades, John Greivenkamp, Emeritus Professor of Optical Sciences, was an exceptionally committed member of Wyant College of Optical Sciences’ faculty and an extraordinary leader, championing the education of our students, the welfare of the college, community outreach, and the future of our profession and professional community,” said Thomas L. Koch, Ph.D., dean of the Wyant College of Optical Sciences.

In celebration of National Native American Heritage Month, November, we recognize Wyant College alumnus and current PhD student, Micah Mann (BS 2020 & MS 2022). 

This week in Another Wavelength, we chat with Junior, B.S., student Walter Rahmer. Walter is advised by Professor Chris Walker at Steward Observatory.  

Dr. Stephan W. Koch passed away on September 12, 2022 at the age of 69 years. Stephan was a professor of optical sciences at the Wyant College of Optical Sciences and spent many years collaborating with other departments and universities.

Congratulations to Dr. Florian Willomitzer for his selection as one of ten awardees to receive $100,000, for his proposal "Noninvasive high-resolution imaging through living tissue with single-shot synthetic wavelength holography."
