The Conversation: Sharing your Work with the Media
Wyant College Faculty & Researchers had the opportunity to attend a special visit with The Conversation at Wyant College on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 9am in Meinel 821. The special talk discussed how to disseminate your research to a variety of major media outlets such as CNN, Newsweek, Yahoo News, and many more. In this meeting, leaders from The Conversation told Wyant College faculty and research more about the process and its impact on sharing the news about the amazing research happening right here.
One such Wyant College faculty member whose research has been shared by The Conversation is Dr. Daewook Kim! His article began here: How do you Build a Mirror for One of the World’s Biggest Telescopes? And….was published by TIME Magazine, all because he submitted it to The Conversation! It garnered 115K reads including dissemination through various other major media outlets including Time magazine.
In the last ten years over 150 articles have been published by UArizona researchers via the Conversation.
19 of these with 100,000+ reads.
Two with 1,000,000+ reads.
If you missed the opportunity to attend this talk, a recording is available internally (netid login required).
