Memorial Service: Barbara Dereniak | Aug. 17

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Dereniak, wife of Professor Eustace Dereniak, who passed away on August 17, 2022, after a long illness.  During their marriage of 54 years, Barbara was a constant source of support and companionship, especially her involvement with the many travels and engagements with SPIE during his presidential chain of duties.  Barbara held a BS degree in biology from NAU and an MS in guidance counseling from the UA.  For many years, she worked for Pima County Health Systems and Catholic Community Services.  Funeral services will be held on September 1, 2022. The Rosary will be prayed at 11:30 AM., Funeral mass is at Noon, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located 601 E. Ft. Lowell Road with internment following at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N. Oracle Road.
