Inventors from across campus and myriad academic fields were invited to attend and received commemorative coins, each emblazoned with their name, and the name and number of the patent.
Dr. Hong Hua, inventor and professor at Wyant College, was among those invited and received thirty-one commemorative coins—one for each UArizona patent obtained during her career at the university that bears her name as an inventor. Many Wyant College faculty joined the event to receive their commemorative coins, recognizing their achievements and patents they have obtained.
