Welcome, Lyann

Lyann Lau moved to Tucson in the summer of 2022 . Before Tucson, she was in Yokohama, Japan. She was born and raised in Honolulu, HI, and has also lived in Portland, OR; Ithaca, NY; and Pasadena, CA. Lyann currently supports Professor Saikat Guha, his group, and is also the Program Coordinator for the Arizona Quantum Initiative (AQUI). She previously worked at Caltech as the Administrator for the Light-Material Interactions in Energy Conversion, Energy Frontier Research Center (LMI-EFRC), as well as supporting the Center's former Director, Professor Harry Atwater, in the Applied Physics and Materials Science department. Additionally, she has worked at Cornell University in the Astronomy department, as an Outreach Coordinator. Her husband, Ryan Lau, is a tenure-track Astronomer at NSF's NoirLab located on the UArizona campus. She has a great fondness for cats, cacti, and (decaf) coffee.
