Amit Ashok and Mark Phillips Elected as 2024 Optica Fellows

Congratulations to Dr. Amit Ashok and Dr. Mark C. Phillips who were elected as 2024 Fellow Members of Optica. Fellow membership in Optica is limited to no more than ten percent of the membership and is reserved for members who have served with distinction in the advancement of optics and photonics.

Dr. Ashok was elected for the development of information-optimal imaging and sensing platforms across the electromagnetic spectrum and service to the optics community. Dr. Phillips was elected for significant contributions to broadband laser spectroscopy and applications to gas sensing, characterization of solids, and plasma diagnostics.
