With over 400 nominations received for The University’s Office of Research, Innovation & Impact (RII) inaugural offering of the “Women of Impact Awards,” four Wyant College professors were selected for this honor.  Dr. Betsy Cantwell, Senior Vice President for Research & Innovation, announced the program in March as the University’s annual effort to embrace and empower women, who through their work in research and innovation at our university, are laying the groundwork for a better future. Among the criteria for the recognition, members were selected on their commitment to the university's mission and values, an application of skills toward discovery and innovation, the enrichment of our community, and the empowerment of others to ensure lasting change.

The inaugural class of Women of Impact, comprised of 30 bold and forward-thinking leaders, including Wyant College's Jennifer Barton, Hong Hua, Meredith Kupinski, and Judith Su. A celebration is planned for Wednesday, Aug. 24, 3 p.m. at the Health Sciences & Innovation Building. To attend UA Women of Impact Celebration or contact Rocque Perez at the RII office.
