Dr. Imelda Atencio Receives Outreach Champion Award from AFRL

Dr. Imelda Atencio was recently named the Department of the Air Force 2021 Outstanding Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Outreach Champion Award winner. According to the AFRL press release, "Among her many accomplishments, she championed the laser outreach program for directed energy during the pandemic, filled 22 critical technical positons, designed a multi-pronged outreach initiative for outreach opportunities, and stood-up a military placement program."
