DAE WOOK KIM SELECTED AS 2021 SPIE FELLOW
Congratulations to Assistant Professor Dae Wook Kim on his recent selection as a 2021 SPIE Senior Fellow. This year 57 new Fellows of the society were added. These are Members of distinction who have made significant scientific and technical contributions in the multidisciplinary fields of optics, photonics, and imaging. Kim's work in precision ground and space optics design, testing, and fabrication using the Computer Controlled Optical Surfacing (CCOS) process including his impact on the Giant Magellan Telescope fabrication project is noteworthy among his other significant accomplishments spanning dynamic deflectometry, interferometry using computer generated holograms, freeform optical system designs, and more.
