Abstract:
The purpose of this lecture is to provide an overview of topics including optical material and design considerations unique to operating the infrared 3 – 12 micron spectrum. Introductory discussion is included such that any interested person, regardless of background, will be able to enjoy the presentation.
Bio:
Mr. John Hall has a career span of more than thirty years working with the design and engineering of optics for imaging sensors. Mr. Hall has held senior positions in both the US Government and in private industry. He has published over thirty patents in the field of optical and sensor system design. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester and a Master’s from George Mason University and is currently enrolled in the PhD program at Colorado State University.
