This course is intended to give an understanding of various fabrication techniques in photonic and optoelectronic components. It covers design step, epitaxial growth and processing steps frequently used in microfabrication of optical and optoelectronic devices. Fabrication of waveguides and laser diodes and various integration techniques are also discussed.
